bezüglich Christen vs. Islam
Interessante Thematik...
allerdings möchte ich unbedingt zu bedenken geben, dass die kulturellen Unterschiede mitnichten von der religion Islam herstammen, schon gar nicht vom Koran, der, und das kann man nachlesen, eigentlich sehr fortschrittlich ist (Vergleiche Bibel - Koran *sic!*)
Die Beschneidung (eigentlich: Unterdrückung) der Frauenrechte ist nichts anderes als eine Tradition in den Breitengraden, wo der Islam stark verankert ist...
was die reaktionen nicht entschuldigen soll, aber ich lege Wert darauf, dass der Islam an sich nicht daran schuld ist.. sondern die Traditionen und die radikalen Führer in einer männerdominierten Gesellschaft.. vor allem sind die Staaten zum großen Teil klerikalisiert..wobei ich zugeben muss, dass Laizismus nicht zwangsläufig Verbesserungen bringt, wie man in der Türkei sieht.. aber auch dort sind nunmal (leider) die Traditionen starker Teil der Gesellschaft...
Das Beispiel der maurischen Königreiche in Südspanien, wo ab Anfang des 8. Jahrhunderts über 3 Jahrhunderte lang Juden, christen und Moslems freie Religionsausübung und ein friedliches Miteinander vorlebten (man stelle sich das vor: vor 1000 Jahren!!) steht für sich ...
Kritik an der Brutalität der Herrschenden gegen Verbrecher (Hand abhacken bei Diebstahl z.B.) lasse ich nicht gelten, das war zu dieser Zeit weltweit und noch 900 Jahre später Normalfall in monarchisch geprägten Regionen.
was das Feindbild Westen betrifft: auch das hat Tradition und das hat der Westen (insbesondere die christliche Kirche) selbst heraufbeschworen durch ständige bescheuerte Kreuzzüge, die meistens eh nur zum Anhäufen von Reichtümern bestimmt waren...
und nach 9/11 die USA und UK mit einer de facto Generalverurteilung des Islam..
zur Medienthematik schweige ich lieber, sonst werde ich ausfallend..
ach ja... hat eigentlich irgendjemand registriert bei diesem ach so wichtigen Thema, dass in Darfur im Sudan ein "schleichendes Ruanda" stattfindet?
Man spricht von 100.000 bis 300.000 abgeschlachteten Menschen (in einer Region mit 6 Mio Einwohnern!!), und dass die Welt zuschaut, ist seit Ruanda eh scho bekannt... päpstliche Aussagen, Benzin- und Zigarettenpreise und die Champions League sind einfach viel zu wichtig ;)

Nations took the warning seriously in a region where raw memories remain of the deadly December 2004 tsunami in the neighboring Indian Ocean that killed nearly 230,000 people in 14 countries.
Some of the biggest preparations were taken by Japan, where meteorological agency officials issued the nation’s first major tsunami warning in 17 years. They initially said they expected walls of water up to 3 meters, or 9 feet, high.
In Tokyo, train lines and highways in densely populated areas along the edge of Tokyo Bay were stopped for hours. Further north, officials said they ordered the evacuation of some 570,000 households from coastal areas mostly on the main Japanese island of Honshu, a areas that has seen killer tsunamis in the past.
Television news programs showed elderly residents in Iwate prefecture sitting on blankets in school gyms that had been turned into makeshift shelters. In the hilly port city of Hakodate, on the northernmost island of Hokkaido, residents sat on hilltops for hours on Sunday watching the sea.[/quote]
